Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday evening. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the global fight fans had expressed sympathy for the champion in the following the devastating accident.
