FC Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
