The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions towards women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
