The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to engage players with quality releases on its premier subscription.
The Immediate Additions
A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
